Would recommend for a short layover

Beautiful grounds, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, the hotel features lovely terraces overlooking a lily pond, and the room I stayed in was a spacious Executive Double Room complete with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities, all conveniently located a short drive from the M62 at Junction 32.

Everything was exactly right.

The service was friendly, just like when we arrived and were welcomed with smiles and warmth. The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, which made it easy to get a good night's sleep, perfect for when you got kids with you.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but you got what you paid for.

Unfortunately, the stay was marred by a tiny room with no natural light and a view into staff quarters, which felt very unwelcoming. the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable, with dust and hair all over. Despite pleasant grounds and a lovely wedding, I felt the service during the events was inadequate due to insufficient staffing.

The grounds were well-kept and perfect for wedding photos. Facilities offered plenty of parking and the bungalows were spacious.

The stay was quite nice overall, especially with the lovely garden and spacious room. It made our family outing enjoyable, providing a pleasant atmosphere for both adults and children to relax. The staff were friendly when we interacted with them, and the location was convenient for exploring nearby attractions. A bit more attention to the breakfast variety would be appreciated, though.

i had a great time at kings croft. the staff were incredibly kind and helped us settle in quickly, far exceeding my past experiences in pontefract. the room was spacious and offered lovely views that made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Just a reliable pick for a short weekend trip in Pontefract with good value for money. The room had underfloor heating and good views, which was a nice surprise. Consider bringing your own chair if you're staying as a couple.
